CeramTec is an international manufacturer and supplier of technical ceramics. CeramTec offers a portfolio of well over 10,000 different products, components and parts, made of a variety of engineered ceramic materials. They are used in a wide range of markets such as automotive engineering, electronics, energy and environment, equipment and mechanical engineering and medical engineering.

- level/distance sensing in fluids
- level sensing for medical applications
CeramTec’s ultrasonic transducers range covers a variety of applications from cleaning, to therapy, surgery and also dental.
In addition to the production of piezo ceramic components, CeramTec produces fully assembled sensors including ultrasonic sensors for the flow measurement of utilities including gas, heat and water and ultrasonic air-in-line sensors.
Also produced are ultrasonic bubble detectors that offer very high reliability for the detection of air bubbles in liquid flows in medical applications such as liquid drug handling, dialysis and contrast injection. For medical applications, sensors can be designed to be very small to enable them to be used in tight spaces including invasively.
CeramTec also produces piezoelectric components such as actuators, focal bowls, hemispheres and dielectric materials – used in high voltage capacitors and microwave components for industrial and medical markets.
Additionally CeramTec manufactures a range of passive piezo sensors to assist with applications such as wheel balancing, pressure sensing, accelerometers and other piezoelectric applications.
